Fashion Positive announces to workshop “Circular Fashion” during Copenhagen Fashion Summit.
Fashion Positive announces a European appointment for its Circular Fashion Workshop: the event will be organized in Copenhagen on May 9, 2017 (location to be confirmed). First held at New York’s Parsons School of Design, this workshop studies the Cradle to Cradle framework for circular economy applied to fashion. The Copenhagen event will include different speakers and expanded material, offering a comprehensive understanding of the emerging industry shift toward circular fashion.
The Circular Economy is a viable strategy for meeting 21st-century challenges like climate change and resource depletion while eliminating the concept of waste and providing for abundance. The president of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Lewis Perkins, will present key concepts of the Cradle to Cradle framework and share examples of work applying this framework within the fashion industry. Full workshop agenda here.
“The Circular Fashion Workshop is a full-day learning and network-building event with presentations, discussion and facilitated group exercises covering the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ approach to circular fashion with emphasis on circular materials and principles of regenerative design. It provides an introduction to circular fashion and should speak to students, designers, sustainability managers and brand representatives large and small.”
